Here are some of the tests Dr. Ni will perform at your consultation visit:

• All of the elements of the comprehensive exam including dilation.
• Pupil measurement in a darkened room. This will help to predict glare.
• Dry Eye testing. Dryness may interfere with healing and should be treated preoperatively.
• Computerized corneal mapping. This will detect subtle irregularities that could result in poor vision.
• Cycloplegic refraction. This is an additional check on your exact eyeglass prescription after your pupils have been dilated. When performed after dilation, the prescription will be more valid.
